High Adventure: MAD MAX BEYOND THUNDERDOME

Remember when Mel Gibson wasn't insane and just kinda awesome? We do too! That is why we are presenting one of the best sequels around with MAD MAX BEYOND THUNDERDOME.

George Miller, the director of the first two Mad Max films, returns with a high octane and rip roaring look into the future. Mel Gibson reprises his role as a former policeman who finds himself trapped in a desert town called Bartertown, in the Australian outback. Sand meets technology. Dirt meets machinery. Mad Max meets AUNTIE ENITY played by Tina Turner.  Max is gonna have to battle it out with just about everyone as he tries to save all the children and his own skin. But remember…Two men enter. One man leaves. WELCOME TO THUNDERDOME.

We are excited to present MAD MAX BEYOND THUNDERDOME for Pride Week, because it is Tina Turner's only starring role and Mel Gibson's hair is a master stroke of stylin'!

High Adventure: HARD TARGET

Don't hunt Van Damme if you can't kill him. John Woo's first American film is a cinematic treat! Using the stylized action that Woo became famous for overseas, HARD TARGET takes it to the mean streets of New Orleans for an update of "The Most Dangerous Game."

Jean Claude Van Damme is enlisted to help a young woman find her missing father. Van Damme uncovers a diabolical game that puts the Hunger Games to shame! Hot on the trail of the baddies, Van Damme punches snakes out, rides motorcycles while STANDING UP, makes time for a quickie and sports the most awesome mullet known to man.

Legend reports that multiple cuts were made to the film to make it more "cohesive" and the studio released it onto a very unforgiving public. Luckily, Van Damme enthusiast have pledged their undying love for HARD TARGET and have managed to keep the movie alive. It is nothing short of a cinematic miracle and one of the most gonzo  movies you will ever see! Did I mention Van Damme punches out a snake?!

An infamous working print of HARD TARGET is floating around and it is a gem to see if you can get your hands on it. More bullets, more gore and a Wilford Brimley dance sequence that will give you nightmares.

"Here lies Walter Fielding. He bought a house, and it killed him."

In an 80's re-telling of MR. BLANDINGS BUILDS HIS DREAM HOME, Tom Hanks and Shelley Long play a yuppie couple who realize that purchasing your own home, comes with a price! RACCOONS! THE MONEY PIT is one of Hanks' greatest comedies and in this day and age of a major housing crisis, THE MONEY PIT seems even more telling. Forced to deal with shady contractors, runaway wheelbarrows and the rising cost of living, the couple do the unthinkable. They start repairing the house themselves. Their love and lives will be put to the test as they build from the ground up and realize that the American Dream is only possible if you do it yourself. And sometimes you get stuck in a hole in the floor for a really long time!
